Just came accross this on the web. The new version 2.2.1 is now available for download on iTunes. Fixes Safari stability issues and various minor bugs. DAMN-IT!! They didn’t read my list!

I have jailbreaked mine
and updated to the latest firmware as well , I don’t have the simlock problem as mine is a factory simlock free model
having it jailbreaked does have it’s plus points mms and cut and paste 2 things apple still find not important , well they do need to save some features for the next iPhone .

I’ve decided against jailbreaking mine. Its not the same as flashing a new rom to a windows mobile handset and the benefits aren’t exactly incredible either.
If there was something brilliant to gain by jailbreaking then i’d do it, but for me the iPhone is exactly what i wanted from a phone.
