As we all know the iPhone 3GS (Apple have dropped the [s] bit) has an Oleophobic screen which basically means that it doesn’t get as messy with greasy fingerprints, and if it does it’s easier to clean.

Now I know you are all desperate to know how the science of this works…. be desperate no more, a guy by the name of Ed Bye is explaining it in detail to Gizmondo here

Personally I think Oleophobic is such a great word and hereby thank all Greeks (as opposed to geeks) for their language – it literally means “afraid of oil” similar in root to Claustrophobic, arachnophobic .. etc
