I admit it, i visit various forums most days and im constantly looking out for iPhone related news and great new apps along with new things that my iPhone can do.
Well how does watching nearly live TV on your iPhone grab you? Oh you like? read on!
I stumbled across a link to this site when I was on the O2 forums.
TVCatchup.com is a website that streams nearly live TV via the internet to your browser. However there’s currently a beta version which will work in the iPhone browser, safari.

Just type into your safari browser:
iphone.tvcatchup.com and lo and behold you have a choice of various TV channels to watch.
I have been using it today and it works very well. Apart from there being no sound present when watching E4, (edit * works ok for other people) the other channels worked with no problems.
I can confirm that this service works fine on 3G and Wifi.
It looks like the streaming is about 2 – 3 minutes behind but its great!
It will be interesting to see how this service grows. According to their forums there is an iPhone app in the pipeline and it has currently been submitted to the App Store and is under review at apple.
Sounds good!

Well I got it on my phone but visiting the website using Safari and then pushing the plus ( + ) button on the bottom of the screen and adding it to my home screen. Im running version 3.0 of the apple firmware, I havent upgraded to the latest firmware because of apparent problems with it (after reading up on the internet at various forums)
If you are seeing all the channels but when you try to look at any of them and you get that error message I would understand that your firmware would need updating.
What version of firmware is your device on?
You can find this out by going to SETTINGS, GENERAL and then ABOUT and scroll down to VERSION (mines 3.0.1)
Hope this helps

Excuse me “Mike”, but the service says it is UK only, and your usage of the word “gay” is highly offensive.
